Ring in the New Year with BLACK & BLUE: THE YVONNE BECHET THEATER PROJECT, written by Ariadne Blayde and directed by Troy R. Poplous, a drama in two acts inspired by the life and career of one of the first black women to join NOPD in the 1970s.
Produced by the Center for Restorative Approaches and starring veteran New Orleans Film, Television and Stage actress, Carol Sutton, BLACK & BLUE’s diverse team of theatre artists and collaborators spotlight one of the Crescent City’s own everyday heroes and her story.
